Calling All Mamas Who Love To Read!

Denielle Elliston

Hi Everyone!

It has been a long time since I have been here, but I am officially back! I will be posting on the blog weekly about everything mama related and well a whole lot of different topics. This pandemic has thrown so much off course for us mamas,  it has truly taught us that we can literally now handle everything.  We said it before, but now it carries a level of grit and understanding that gives it even more clout!

Ever since I was a little girl you could find me begging my mom to go to the library so I could take out books.  I was in every library book club imaginable and spent most summers escaping in a book at every moment I could.  Not much has changed, well except having three little kids and owning businesses.  Which has definitely made it harder for me to make the time, but reading is like air for me.  There is a quote that has stuck with me that really sums it all up, "There are bits and pieces of yourself scattered in every book you read."  This couldn't ring more true, it is like a discovery of emotions and experiences you have had and the nostalgia you feel along the way.

I have to write everything down these days to remember, mom brain is a real thing and if it isn't written down I most likely wont remember.  With this being said, I decided to start a Bookstagram to keep track of all of the books I read with ratings and a short synopsis of my thoughts.  Follow along with me at @readsbydee on Instagram where I will share what I am reading and what is up next! I am giving myself some pretty big goals this year, my bookshelf is overflowing so it is time to get through them.  I am also in quite a few book clubs so that helps to keep me focused:).  If you are a reader, I hope you join me there!
